About:

Parneet “Pam” Sahota, serves as the Clinical Director of Des Moines Wellness Center, where she oversees clinical programming and ensures the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based behavioral healthcare. With extensive experience treating individuals, couples, adolescents, and families, Pam specializes in helping clients navigate co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders through compassionate, trauma-informed care. D. in Traumatology. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), International Alcohol and Drug Counselor (IADC), Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CCMHC), and Substance Abuse Professional (SAP), she brings a diverse clinical skill set to her work.

She is also EMDR-trained and DBT-certified, integrating evidence-based approaches that promote healing, resilience, and long-term recovery. Throughout her career, Pam has worked with diverse populations in both mental health and addiction treatment settings, addressing trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, emotional regulation challenges, and relationship concerns. Her treatment philosophy centers on meeting individuals where they are, creating a supportive and nonjudgmental environment, and empowering clients to achieve meaningful, lasting change.

As Clinical Director, Pam is dedicated to fostering clinical excellence, supporting staff development, implementing best practices, and ensuring treatment remains ethical, individualized, and outcome-driven.
